CBSE result analysis that does more than look back

Most result analysis tells you what happened after the board exam. The useful version tells you which classes, subjects and chapters to fix, and when to act. Try the free result analyser below, then see how Ocoviz moves the same thinking earlier in the year.

Quick class result analyser

Runs in your browser. Nothing is stored or sent. The bands below are simple percentage bands for this tool, not CBSE grades. Pass mark defaults to 33%; check your board’s current rule for your class.

What good looks like

Six views every result analysis should give

📊

Pass percentage

By class and section, so you see where results are strongest and weakest.

📈

Average and spread

The average alone hides a wide gap between top and bottom students.

📚

Subject-wise view

Which subjects lift the school and which hold it back.

⚖️

Section comparison

Compare parallel sections fairly to find what is working.

📅

Year-on-year trend

Is the school improving, flat or sliding?

🎯

Near-the-line students

Those just below a pass or a band, where support pays off most.

The limit of a result analysis

A post-mortem cannot change the result

Result analysis alone

  • Arrives after the exam
  • Shows which subject was weak, not which chapter
  • Leads to next year’s plan, not this year’s help

Result analysis plus learning intelligence

  • Readiness bands through the year, before the exam
  • Chapter-level gaps by class and subject
  • A weekly action list while there is still time
How Ocoviz helps

From looking back to acting earlier

🎯

Readiness bands

Each student gets a 0 to 100 readiness score and a Green, Amber or Red band, updated as data arrives.

🔥

Chapter-level gaps

See which chapters drag a class down so re-teaching is targeted. See concept mastery diagnostics.

📊

Leadership dashboard

Grade readiness, section comparison and subject-weakness maps for principals. See leadership dashboard.

A suggested yearly rhythm

Use results to plan, then track weekly

After results

Run the analysis: classes, sections, subjects, near-the-line students.

At term start

Turn weak subjects and chapters into a teaching plan.

Through the year

Track readiness bands weekly and support Amber students early.

Before boards

Recheck readiness and focus the final push where it counts.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

CBSE result analysis: FAQ

What is CBSE result analysis?
CBSE result analysis is the review of a school’s board exam results: pass percentage, class and section averages, subject-wise performance, grade distribution and year-on-year comparison. It tells a school what happened, and where to focus next year.
What should a result analysis include?
At minimum: pass percentage, average and spread by class, section and subject, a distribution of marks, a comparison with last year, and a list of students close to the pass line or to the next band. Better analysis also asks why, by looking at chapter-level gaps.
How is Ocoviz different from a result-analysis report?
A result analysis is a post-mortem. Ocoviz reads attendance, marks and practice through the year, so gaps show up weeks before the board exam, while there is still time to act. It then lets you compare sections and subjects and see weak chapters. See student early warning system.
Can I analyse my class results for free here?
Yes. The calculator on this page takes a list of marks and gives pass percentage, average, spread and a distribution. It runs in your browser and stores nothing.
Does Ocoviz show subject-wise and section-wise comparison?
Yes. The leadership dashboard supports section comparison and subject-weakness maps. See leadership dashboard. Ask us on a demo how your own results data can be loaded.
Can result analysis help with the two board exams for Class 10?
Yes. First-exam results make a useful diagnostic: find which subjects and chapters need re-teaching before the second window. See the two board exams toolkit.
Is this for CBSE schools only?
The calculator works for any marks. Ocoviz works across boards, and has pages for PSEB, ICSE and ISC, UP Board, MP Board and RBSE schools.
