Does the gate work if the internet goes down?
Yes. The gate terminal keeps a securely cached list of the day's valid passes, so verification and release continue offline. Every action syncs to the audit trail automatically once connectivity returns.
What about guardians who don't have a smartphone?
The school can issue a printed pass with the lookup QR, or gate staff can verify by pass ID plus the dual-photo match on the terminal. The QR is never the only proof, so a paper pass is still safe.
How does it handle campuses with multiple gates?
Each gate has its own terminal and location tag. A pass can be authorised at any approved gate, and the audit trail records exactly which gate and which staff member handled the release.
Can a screenshot of the pass be misused?
No. The QR is lookup-only, passes carry a live dynamic timestamp watermark, and a pass is invalidated the instant the student is released — so a copied or stale screenshot cannot authorise a handover.
Does it connect with attendance and transport?
