What a District-Level Deliberation (DLD) is
Alongside its Computational Thinking & AI direction, CBSE has introduced District-Level Deliberations (DLDs) — and they are far more than exhibitions. A DLD is a working forum where schools and Sahodaya complexes come together to build CT & AI literacy, discuss implementation, share best practices, develop teacher readiness, explore interdisciplinary applications, work through assessment, address responsible AI, and turn all of it into replicable practices other schools can adopt.
They can be organised by a single school, a group of schools, or a whole Sahodaya complex — which means any ambitious school can take the lead rather than wait to be invited.
How to run a DLD your district remembers
Pick a theme and a lead
Choose one of the seven themes below (start with your strength). Nominate a lead school or coordinator from your Sahodaya complex.
Set a working agenda, not a stage show
Balance short talks with hands-on sessions — delegates should do a CT activity, not just watch slides. Build in time to agree shared practices.
Bring evidence, not opinions
Open with a shared baseline — a readiness score, student work, real classroom examples — so the discussion is grounded.
Demonstrate, live
Nothing lands like a live classroom moment. Show a real activity or a safe AI Tutor session so delegates see the pedagogy in action.
Capture replicable practices
End every theme with a one-page ‘what we’ll adopt’ summary. That artefact is exactly what CBSE wants DLDs to produce.

Theme: Progressive CT Pedagogy, Grades 3–8. 9:30 — shared readiness baselines (each school reports its score). 10:00 — hands-on: delegates run the ‘exact-instructions’ CT activity as learners. 10:45 — live demo of a Socratic AI Tutor session. 11:15 — breakout: map CT across three subjects. 12:00 — agree three replicable practices; assign owners.
