CBSE has put Computational Thinking & AI at the centre of 2026–27

For the 2026–27 session, CBSE introduced Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence for Classes III–VIII, made “Computational Thinking & Understanding AI” its teacher-training theme, and is encouraging District-Level Deliberations and a National Teachers’ Conference on CT & AI. This is a real structural shift — not a passing trend. What most schools still don’t know is where they stand today and what to do first.

New CT & AI curriculum

CBSE has rolled out Computational Thinking & AI resources and handbooks for Classes III–VIII for 2026–27.

Teacher-training theme

“Computational Thinking & Understanding AI” is the official 2026–27 training focus, with District-Level Deliberations to share practice.

National momentum

A National Teachers’ Conference on CT & AI covers AI readiness, progressive CT pedagogy, real-world AI, assessment and responsible AI.
