Attendance percentage calculator

Enter working days and days present. See your attendance percentage and how many days you need to attend to reach the required level.

The calculator

Check your attendance

Runs in your browser. Nothing is stored or sent. Check your board’s current rule for the required percentage and any condonation process.

How it works

The simple formula

Attendance % = (days present ÷ total working days) × 100.

If your attendance is below the requirement, the calculator works out how many days you must attend to recover. If you also enter the working days left in the year, it shows the minimum number of those days you must attend.

For schools

Spot attendance drift early

For a student, attendance is a number to watch. For a school, it is a signal: a gradual drop often shows up before marks do. Ocoviz reads attendance together with marks and practice so coordinators can support students early. See how early warning works.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Attendance calculator: FAQ

How is attendance percentage calculated?
Attendance percentage is days present divided by total working days, multiplied by 100. For example, 84 days present out of 120 working days is 70%.
What attendance percentage is required?
Many boards and schools set a minimum of 75%, but rules differ by board and class. Check your board’s current circulars and your school’s policy, including any condonation process for genuine reasons.
How many days can I miss and still keep 75%?
Enter your working days, days present and the days left in the year. The calculator shows the minimum number of remaining days you must attend and the most you can miss.
Is my data stored?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to Ocoviz.
Can schools track attendance patterns automatically?
Yes. Ocoviz reads attendance alongside marks and practice to flag students whose attendance is starting to slip. See student early warning system.
